Do you find it easy to have effective communication with your teenage children?
Communication with our teenagers is often difficult at the best of times and it will usually deteriorate during and post a family break up. We often blame our children for this without taking a step back and analysing exactly how we speak to and communicate with them.
Here at WYFMS, we pride ourselves for our child centred approach to mediation. We will always include children and young persons in the mediation process if it is suitable for them, and we have very experienced mediators to work with your children to try and help them understand what is happening around them during a break up.
The link below to the ‘Family Lives’ website provides an excellent source of information and suggestions on how to improve communication between yourself and your teenagers.
Have a read through it and ask yourself, ‘Can I improve my communication with my child?’
